How time flies…

May saw us celebrate 10 years of owning Stanwell House. We can hardly believe how quickly the years have flown by.  We celebrated this milestone with a fabulous garden party over the bank holiday weekend; non-stop sunshine and free flowing champagne was the perfect way to start the bank holiday weekend in style!

Our new head chef Matt Budden pulled out all the stops to create an Afternoon Tea buffet, finger sandwiches, a scone station and an amazing array of sweet treats. The most fabulous anniversary cake made by Clare of Clare’s Cupcakery in Ringwood completed the occasion.

We were thrilled to welcome friends, fellow hoteliers and suppliers who have been with us from the first day that we picked up the keys all those years ago. We were delighted to share this milestone with all those people who have supported us non-stop and helped made the hotel the success that it is today. No hotel can run without a team working round the clock to look after our guests and 3 of our longest serving staff joined us to celebrate.

Marilyn from the reception team who greets our guests’ day in and day out with a smile and warm welcome who has been with us for 23 years. Annette our events and wedding planner who has ensured many a party and wedding has gone without a hitch over the last 25 years and David our night porter of 22 years, who is an invaluable part of the team.

It’s been a busy few months here at the hotel and after ten years of making our mark on the hotel we decided it was time for a facelift. The party also saw us launch our brand new website with the help of Shotgun Front local web designers. We hope you love the new site as much as we do!

A huge thank you again to everyone that has supported us over the years, here’s to many more years of Stanwell House!
