Autumn on the forest is one of the most beautiful times of the year, golden leaves, crisp mornings and pigs roaming for acorns amongst the New Forest ponies. We love a long walk on the forest or stroll along the sea wall followed by a glass of wine and tapas in front of the fire in Burcher & Co.
Here at Stanwell House we have had a busy summer of weddings, BBQ’s, parties in TEN and welcoming diners to our new restaurant Etain. This November we finish our ‘World of Wine’ Series with our last wine dinner showcasing Argentina. Local wine connoisseur Max from Priory Wines teaches us there is so much more than Malbec on offer and our new head Chef Matt Noonan will be cooking up a storm to accompany the wines. We also welcome back award winning curry chef Indunil Sanchi for a final curry evening on Thursday 23rd.
Lymington turns on its Christmas lights on the 24th with late night shopping, street stalls and a service at St Thomas’ church. This marks the beginning of the festive season and we have an action packed December on the cards, our popular weekend party nights are nearly booked up and the bar have a full array of Christmas cocktails ready to go! Our festive dining menu is available throughout the month and we will end the year with a bang as we see in the New Year with champagne and dancing.
We recently welcomed Julia to the team- our new wedding and events planner after Annette retired earlier this year. She brings a wealth of experience with her from Bellissimo weddings. For those of you looking at wedding venues for next year do join Julia on January 23rd for our wedding open evening here at the hotel.
